Diego Forlan has admitted that he would relish the opportunity to take in a second spell in England.
The Uruguayan striker is currently on the books of Atletico Madrid, where he has blossomed into one of Europe's most fearsome frontmen.
The 30-year-old has not always been held in such high regard, though, with a disappointing two-year spell with Manchester United damaging his profile.
Forlan struggled to settle at Old Trafford and was happy to move on when the opportunity arose to join Villarreal in 2004.
His time with the Red Devils has not dampened his respect for the Premier League, though, and he would be happy to return to England should Atletico decide to sell him in the future.
Thankful
He told Uefa's official website: "England, and the Premier League, gave me many things and I thank them for that.
"If I have a chance to return, I would like to go."
Despite managing just 17 goals in his 95 appearances for United, Forlan insists he would be better prepared second time around.
He continued: "I feel I have nothing to prove there.
"The only difference is that I am more experienced today."
