Cech not happy with fans reaction

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech admits he was shocked by the reaction of the club's fans following their draw with Everton.

The Blues were held 3-3 by the Toffees at Stamford Bridge, which means the Premier League leaders have now picked up just one point in the last two games and the home fans vented their frustration by booing them off the field.

But despite being held to a draw on Saturday, Cech admits he was shocked to hear the reaction of the Blues faithful.

"I was very surprised to hear the boos from the crowd because this was our first Premier League draw at home all season," he told The Sun.

"Look at the games we have played here, in the League, the Champions League and the Carling Cup, and you will see all the clean sheets we have kept and all the goals we have scored.

"We have beaten Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham here, all without conceding a goal.

"So I was really surprised to hear the supporters' reaction. Surprised because I don't understand it."

Lucky Toffees
The Chelsea No.1 also insists that Everton struck lucky, adding: "We were really unlucky because we played well, controlled the game and scored three brilliant goals.

"Before this game it was a long time since we conceded from set-plays. Think of all those previous games and all the set-plays we dealt with.

"The first goal deflected off the post, hits me and goes in. You cannot control that.

"The second came from a throw-in when we had three chances to clear and there were so many bodies behind the ball yet it rebounded straight to Yakubu.

"And as for the third, what are the chances of Didier Drogba's clearance hitting an opponent and going over the goalkeeper and all the defenders on the line?

"The only mistake we made was that we dropped our defensive line too deep which allowed Everton to put pressure on us at free-kicks.

"We know that now and just need to make it better in our next game.

"It certainly has not affected our confidence. It would be really strange to lose confidence after conceding one goal at home all season.

"Mistakes are part of football. Frank Lampard missed a penalty in the last League game. It's normal. They happen and you move on.

"We are still top of the League and played a very good game and were just unlucky not to win."
