John Terry has received the full backing of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. The billionaire called Terry and assured him he has the club's total support, according Sun.
Further revelations about the Chelsea and England skipper's affair have been exposed but Abramovich is adamant there is no reason for the club to take action.
A source close to the Russian said: "Roman told John he's fully behind him.
"There is nothing but support for him at the club in a difficult time.
"The bottom line is this is a private matter. John has not done anything illegal and it's up to him how he deals with it.
"He's a valuable team member and one of the Chelsea family, his position at the club is not in any doubt."
Terry trained with team-mates yesterday without any fuss.
One staff member described the scene as "business as usual" but no one discussed the sensational headlines involving Terry.
Chelsea play at Hull next game and Terry is said to be "fully focused" on his job. Fabio Capello will get involved in the situation when he returns to England later this week.
The England boss has been recuperating after a knee injury at his holiday home in Switzerland but will be back in London on Thursday.
His plan is to assess the fallout from Terry's affair with Wayne Bridge's ex-girlfriend and then decide whether to stick with him as skipper.
If the pressure continues to build, Terry may be forced to resign before Capello acts.
The manager will not be quizzed until Sunday when he is in Warsaw for the Euro 2012 draw.
