Gonzalez wonder strike cancels out Negredo's opener helping CSKA Moscow earned 1-1 draw against Sevilla in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash.
CSKA, playing their first competitive game since their domestic season ended in December.
The Spanish Sevilla, standing fourth in La Liga, went ahead against the run of play when Navas's cross evaded the defender's attempted clearance and Akinfeev's grasp, leaving Negredo to score his first Champions League goal of the season.
Gonzalez smashed a fierce 35-yard effort in the 66th minute to cancel out Alvaro Negredo's first-half opener after Sevilla had created the better chances.
Tomas Necid had a good chance to snatch a win for the hosts in the closing minutes, but Sevilla held on.
The draw was a fair result in freezing conditions in Russia, where CSKA enjoyed the majority of the few chances that either side created, but were rarely able to test visiting goalkeeper Andres Palop.
