Fulham smashed nine man Juventus

Fulham proceeded to the last eights of the Europa League after a superb show saw them excited the odds to beat Juventus in one of the bigest nights in the club's history.

Following 3-1 deficit after the first leg in Turin, the Cotiggers going into the game at Craven Cottage knew they were up against it, and the match started in the worst possible fashion for Roy Hodgson's side as David Trezeguet fired the visitors ahead after just two minutes.

But Fulham did not gave up and they leveled when the amazing Bobby Zamora chested a cross down and fired past Juventus veteran goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti on nine minutes.

The tie changed direction soon later when Fabio Cannavaro was sent off for a tug on Zoltan Gera, and the Hungarian put the Cottigers ahead on 39 minutes - firing into the net from close range.

Gera scored from the penalty spot four minutes into the second half and Clint Dempsey sealed the win with a sublime chip with only eight minutes of full time remaining - the Turins ended with no grandeur and finished the game with nine men as Jonathan Zebina saw second yellow late on.
