Juventus vs Fulham Preview & Prediction

Juventus will start the UEFA Europa League round of 16 with a first leg clash against English Premier League team Fulham on Thursday.

The game performs a new level for the Cottagers, whom Hodgson took over in December 2007 when the club was in front of the very real danger of relegation.

Juventus is searching to find victory in the Europa League after a frustrating season in the Serie A and Champions League. They had a chance to enter the last 16 in the UEFA Champions League but a home loss in the group stage place them in the Europa League. Reaching into the semi-finals or desired final of the Europa League will help them to requite for their bad performance in the other contests.

Fulham, who are actually 10th in the Premier League standings, defeated ascendant UEFA Cup Champions Shakhtar Donetsk in the last round. They were not hoping to progress the Ukrainian team but a 1-1 draw was fully enough. Manager Roy Hodgson has a discipline tactic that has transformed Fulham one of the powerfully defensive team in England.

Both sides are missing key players for Thursday’s tie as Juventus is missing goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, Amauri, and Giorgio Chiellini,. Fulham is without Andrew Johnson, John Pantsil and Clint Dempsey for the adventure to Italy. Juventus is considered as favourite in the tie at home ground but Fulham are surprise in the Europa League.

Verdict: Juventus vs Fulham 2-0
