Pompey administrators cuts jobs

Portsmouth administrators began to make employees shrinkage as expecting 85 people losing their jobs as part of cut costs policy.

Administrator Andrew Andronikou declare no players were being made redundant as they were the "shop window" with respects to secure a eventual buyer.

He also added he had held creative conversations with the tax authorities, and assured them with further information about club finances.

Pompey are the first Premier League club to get into administration.

Mr. Andronikou was implacable that all prize money gained by Portsmouth from reaching the FA Cup semi-final would go to the club.

He said that Portsmouth would be taking its place in the semi final and would "certainly accomplish its fixture list this season and begin the new one in August 2010".

Andrew Andronikou also added chief executive Peter Storrie - who has been accused for bad management of Portsmouth - had tendered his demission. In the meantime, he has taken a 40% wage cut and actually remains in his post.
