Sunderland vs Manchester City Preview & Prediction


Premier League tie face Sunderland, currently standing 14th, and Manchester City, currently standing 5th, Stadium of Light , Sunderland , kicks off at 16:00 14 March 2010.

Sunderland won for the first time in fifteen Premier League matches on Tuesday when Darren Bent achieved a hat-trick in a 4-0 victory over Bolton, shaping goals to the season to eighteen.

When the both teams met in December, at Eastlands, Manchester City won 4-3 following a winner goal from Roque Santa Cruz.

City are undefeated in four matches, with eight points from a possible twelve. And they travelling to the Stadium of Light after nine successive League wins over Sunderland, who last beat City far in December 2000.

City are still missing Bulgarian international Martin Petrov while Emanuel Adebayor is suspended but Patrick Vieira is online after suspension. Sunderland have David Meyler available after punishment.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce will be helpless to name an unchanged sequence as skipper Lorik Cana start a two match suspension for recieving his 10th yellow card of the season in the tie with Bolton.

Manchester City must win this game if they want to play at Europe's top fly next season. Expected heavy clash.
