Birmingham boss Alex McLeish hailed his side's fifth successive Premier League win after they saw off Blackburn 2-1 at St Andrews.
The Blues manager urged his players to continue their excellent run of form, a sequence which has seen them climb to sixth in the table after starting the season as relegation favourites.
Cameron Jerome was the catalyst in the win, the striker bagging goals either side of half-time to set his side on their way.
Rovers threatened to end the winning run when Ryan Nelsen pulled a goal back, but the home side weathered a late surge to hold on for all three points.
McLeish told his players not to get carried away with the win, but reiterated his desire for more points.
"We need to keep our feet on the ground but we need to challenge the players in every game," he said.
"We've got to try and amass as many points as possible as quickly as possible but we've achieved nothing yet.
"I'm really proud of the players. It was a phenomenal performance and I thought we could have won by more. I thought we were fantastic tonight."
Striker Jerome had only scored once going into the clash against Sam Allardyce's side, but the 23-year-old trebled his tally with two goals.
The Blues have lacked fire power despite their impressive form, midfielder Lee Bowyer starting the clash as his side's top-scorer with five goals.
But McLeish was full of praise for his striker, who put in a useful all-round display to help his side dominate long spells of the match.
McLeish added: "It's fantastic. Cameron scored goals against Blackburn the last time they came here a couple of years ago. He was brilliant tonight."
