Bayer Leverkusen returned to the top of the Bundesliga table while Stuttgart got the better of Borussia Dortmund.
A first-half goals blitz was enough to see Leverkusen back on top of Germany's top-flight with a 3-1 win over Freiburg.
Stefan Kiessling opened the scoring in the 36th minute and was followed just a minute later by Eren Derdiyok, before Sami Hyypia made it 3-0 after 39 minutes. Felix Bastians cut the deficit to 3-1 in the 66th minute.
Leverkusen are the league's only undefeated team and registered their fourth straight victory to improve to 44 points, giving them a two-point lead over second-placed Bayern Munich.
Stuttgart scored three times in closing stages against Dortmund to continue their climb up the Bundesliga table with a 4-1 success.
Stuttgart went ahead after 14 minutes after Dortmund defender Felipe Santana's own goal before Lucas Barrios equalised in the 55th minute.
That goal had looked for long periods like securing a point, but Zdravko Kuzmanovic made it 2-1 for the hosts with his free kick goal in the 78th minute.
The floodgates were firmly open with further goals from Ciprian Marica and Christian Trasch extending Stuttgart's winning streak to four games.
Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund had their six-game winning streak broken and suffered their first loss in 13 matches.
