Milan held draw, while Roma beat Siena

Second-placed AC Milan missed the chance to close the gap on Serie A leaders Inter Milan to six points, while Roma beat Siena

Massimo Ambrosini opened the scoring for Milan in the final minute of the first half but Livorno levelled eight minutes after the break thanks to Cristiano Lucarelli.

Milan move to eight points behind Inter, whose match at Parma was postponed due to snow

Roma beat Serie A's bottom side Siena 2-1 to record their fourth straight victory in the league and go level on 41 points with Milan.

Second-half substitute Stefano Okaka was the Roma hero when he struck at the death to hand his side a narrow win.

Sampdoria maintained their European challenge with a comfortable 2-0 win over strugglers Atalanta.

The match was played against a backdrop of anger from the home fans towards coach Luigi Del Neri over his treatment of star striker Antonio Cassano. Cassano has turned down a loan move to Fiorentina after reportedly falling out with Del Neri.

Chievo and Bologna drew 1-1, with their top goalscorers both on target in a draw at the Stadio Marc Antonio Bentegodi.

Marco Di Vaio put Bologna in front with his eighth goal of the season in the 11th minute before Sergio Pellissier's sixth strike earned Chievo a point in the 49th minute.

The result keeps Chievo at a safe distance from the bottom

Catania and Udinese shared the spoils in their relegation six-pointer.

Striker Antonio Floro Flores put Udinese ahead just after the half-hour mark but Marco Biagianti rifled in a clinical equaliser with 11 minutes remaining.

The result means Catania stay third from bottom, while Udinese are just one point ahead of their rivals.

Ten-man Cagliari were held 2-2 by Fiorentina as the hosts extended their unbeaten run to six games.

Marco Marchionni had put visitors Fiorentina into an eighth-minute lead but Andrea Lazzari levelled nine minutes before half-time and Davide Astori scored to put Cagliari in front, only for Stevan Jovetic to net a 63rd-minute equaliser after Andrea Cossu had been sent off.
