Carlo Ancelotti claim John Terry will always be his Chelsea captain. Ancelotti said: "I think he is able to leave his problems outside the training ground. He's shown his character. He is a very strong character.
"I'm not interested in anything else. I'm not interested in the private life of anybody."
Ancelotti added: "I have no feelings about what happens with the national team.
"If the private life of a player doesn't involve or harm his professional life, I don't have a problem.
"If John is not able to train because he's tired or nervous, I can be interested.
"But he comes here and trains very well. He's always ready to train, always focused, always involved. Here, he will find a good place to stay."
John Terry will lose up to Ј20 million in commercial deals over the next four years after being axed as England captain.
Sponsorship experts believe the fall-out from Terry's affair with England team-mate Wayne Bridge's ex-partner Vanessa Perroncel will cost him several remunerative contracts.
As John Terry was stripped of the captaincy, boss Fabio Capello announced the armband would pass to the vice-captain.
That man is Ferdinand but Capello did not name him and has tried not to turn the captaincy into a bigger issue than it already is.
Capello said: "When I chose John Terry as captain, I also selected a vice-captain and also named a third choice. There is no reason to change this decision."
An FA insider said: "As far as Fabio is concerned, Rio is next in line and after that it's Steven Gerrard.
