Real Madrid will be looking for deface a 1-0 deficit when they welcome Olympic Lyon at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night last-16 UEFA Champions League clash.
Lyon reached a 1-0 succes in the first leg in France but now has to visit to the Bernabeu where Real Madrid have been hegemonic this season. The French Ligue 1 side has not allowed a goal in 620 minutes in all competitions and will require that level of appearence in the second leg clash. While they estoped Real Madrid scoreless, it will be a quite different match on the El Classico home ground.
Real Madrid can not use Karim Benzema, Royston Drenthe, and Marcelo who are missed due to injury. Xabi Alonso will not be available due to suspension. Lyon will be without Michel Bastos while Lisandro Lopez and Aly Cissokho could be available for the clash.
Lyon is a stable team but there is presumably no defense that can keep out an inform Gonzalo Higuain along with Guti, Van der Vaart, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kaka. Higuain has been in awesome shape lately, scoring four goals in his last three matches. Ronaldo guide Real Madrid in goals through the UEFA Champions League campaign and is always trappy on free kicks.
Kaka has not find his manner yet under Real Madrid but began to indicate signs with three goals in his last three matches. Lopez appear to be Lyon goalscorer with 11 goal and has two goals in his last three matches. Generally, Real Madrid will be very aggressive in its performance and if they can come to a goals early in the match it probably be all over for Lyon.
Verdict: Real Madrid vs Lyon 2-1
Well it won't really be all over for Lyon will it, as your prediction will see them go through on away goals?? I'm sure they'll take that!!
