Darren Bent hit a second-half hat-tick for Sunderland, finishing a 14-game without victory with a 4-0 success over Bolton on Tuesday night.
Forward Fraizer Campbell had previously gave the Black Cats a lovely start as he scored the fastest goal of the Premier League season with a volley past just 40 seconds.
Bolton never restored and fell more aback in the beginning of the second part when Bent ran through to perfect finish.
Sunderland deserved their fragile lead at the break but appeared for the second half in furious fashion, with Bent kick-starting his afternoon with the second goal on 64 minutes.
Ten minutes afterward, Bolton were reduced to ten men as Sam Ricketts booked second yellow card after stumbling Bent within the penalty area. The striker picked himself up to nestle the spot-kick into the bottom corner and put the home team in complete control.
Bent then accomplished his hat-trick three minutes from time with a perfectly worked goal, slotting the ball home to restate his claim for a place in England's World Cup squad this summer with his 18th Premier League goal of the season.
