Atletico Madrid go through the last eight of the Europa League

Atletico Madrid cleard their way into the last eight of the Europa League by the power of the away goals ruling against Sporting Lisbon.

After the goalless draw in the first leg tie in Madrid, Atletico went on the attack in Lisbon and dominated after the game finished 2-2.

Argentina international Sergio Aguero was the man for the visitors with two well-taken first half goals at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

Nevertheless, the Lisbon based club, who hit back through Liedson and Miguel Veloso also in the first half, had their chances to win it in the second period before crashing out.
