Cagliari to refund fans after 2-0 defeat by Lazio

Serie A team Cagliari are to refund their fans after 2-0 loss at home to struggling for survival Lazio on Sunday.

Having seen his team lose three of their previous four matches, president Massimo Cellino made the refund promise on the club's website just ahead of the clash.

But, his assurance instantly seemed to be unreal, with Lazio taking only four minutes to open the score and after adding a second goal before the period in front of 12,000 fans.

The Rome club had won only three of their previous 26 Serie A matches, regardless of perfect start of the season by winning their first two games.
